They worked perfectly when paired with the NFC android app. Once I flashed the data on my Wii U read it right away. One thing to keep in mind is they can only be written to ONCE. You can't rewrite to them so make sure you get enough is you plan to make many amiibos. For the price point they're cheap enough to make dozens.
